Roseanne Barr didn't learn anything about the public relations drill post-scandal.
You are supposed to lay low, then be guided every step of the way by a top public relations agency.
That usually is a formula which allows just about anyone to start over. At least in America. Unlike parts of the UK, America is not a closed system in reputational matters.
As Vanity Fair reports, Barr has been mouthing off on social media that she didn't realize Valerie Jarrett - whom she refers to with the "b" word - was black. This latest from Barr is months after she lost her show on ABC because of what was perceived as a racist tweet about Jarrett.
Could it be that Barr is one of those who has to be sidelined forever because they are unable to modify behavior? Typically, even a minor ding to our brand wakes us up to the need for change. A catastrophe? Most of the time that generates a total psychic shift. Here is my new book, free to click open and read, on exiting a comfort zone Download Over50OutsmartingYourComfortZone
It could be that no reputable public relations firm will accept Barr as a client, if she goes in search of representation (if she hasn't already). In addition, in the entertainment business, she might have become The Untouchable.
