Gleefully, the enemies of Chris Christie might be rejoicing. The politico he has been supporting - Donald Trump - is stumbling. The loss in Wisconsin could be the beginning of a downward trajectory. Ha-ha-ha, that would be the end of Christie on the national scene, goes the assumption.
Wrong. The reality is that a shrewd player - and Christie is that - knows how to use every bit of the media spotlight. Thanks to his association with The Donald, Christie's every move became news.
Among those moments, Christie was found enjoying his bag of M&Ms. That could become his new signature. And he could become a lobbyist for the candy industry. Currently it's being targeted as a bad guy. That's a long sad way away from the Mary Poppins' positioning and packaging of "A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down."
More specifically, Christie can do for M&Ms when ET did for Reese's.
The takeaway here is that opportunity can fall into our laps. The trick is to be able to think out of the box and board that new train into the unknown. You bet, Christie could be heading to Candyland.
