« The New Girls' Network | Main | Halle Berry Considered Suicide - So? »

March 27, 2007

Let's face it, in the 1970's when I was growing up in Jersey City, the New York news stations ignored anything on the "left' bank of the Hudson. Simply, the money wasn't there. Now that gentrification has occurred (for good or bad-the jury is out on that), suddenly more non-natives live there(probably some NY reporters too!) so a "routine" mugging suddenly becomes news. It's the old "not in my neighborhood" syndrome.
