Your article forgets the same thing the RCC has forgotten and that is: consumers are people.

The bane of any branding campaign is people who can think for themselves. People who listen to what is in their hearts don't need to listen to what is being said from the pulpit.

The genie is out of the bottle and the curtain has been pulled back on Oz by Toto. Behind the curtain are a bunch of befuddled old men telling people not to pay attention to the horror they have allowed to proliferate. Brainwashing and not branding is the only thing that will save them.

Hooray for Jane Genova! She is intelligent, she writes well and she is funny. This article made my day and restored my sense of humor as regards the (Corporate) Roman Catholic Church!
