A usually neglected aspect of KW research is looking at your company's products/services from your customers' viewpoint. For instance, a bank may think it's providing "financial services." But a prospective customer does a Google search seeking "cheap loans."

Many companies still think their websites are all about themselves, whereas their potential customers are looking for answers to their problems, in & on their own terms.

Try WordTracker or the free Google Suggest tool (http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en)for quick KW research.
