You said, "What's stalled is the American imagination." Could it also be that some (or many) Americans do not accept the responsibility I believe we all have to "make things happen" to the extent of our abilities -- and imaginations!

In my twenties, and I wish it had been earlier, I chanced upon an expression, source anonymous, that has meant a great deal to me: "If it is to be, it is up to me."

No one in a corporate environment can embrace total responsibility for everyone else in that place, but each of us in such an environment can accept responsibility for our own plans and actions.

For me, it is stimulating and exciting to live in a world where I have to use my imagination to influence the outcome of otherwise (potentially) neutral or negative circumstances.

Keep on keeping on. Illegitimus non carborundum.
