So, why in the world would I pony up full price at Barnes & Noble? After making it through 2 recessions this century, most of us will opt for bargains versus the old-line bookstore ethos of Barnes & Noble.
If the company wants to survive it should create a contest for students in MBA programs to put together a transformational strategy. Everything it's tried, ranging from the Nook to high-margin cute gifts, wasn't a sustainable profit-maker.
