Several times the Drudge Report has featured in headlines the heart attack and then death of Carrie Fisher and the sudden death of her mother Debbie Reynolds.
Today, there's a new kind of headline. And it might bring closure on this sadness. That headline is: Funeral For Two.
Here is the Daily Mail coverage which the Drudge Report links to.
Meanwhile on Twitter both the old guard and the new stars in Hollywood are sharing their grief.
Among them is Bette Midler. Her tweet has been receiving plenty of likes, retweets and replies.
The double tragedy signals the end of two eras.
One is of the entertainment world of our parents. They were totally engrossed in the Debbie Reynolds, Eddie Fisher and Liz Taylor triangle. They took sides. Most supported America's then-sweetheart Reynolds. Fisher's career was finished.
The other era was that created by the offspring of famous stars. We both envied their glam upbringing and feared how screwed up they would be. Carrie was atypical. She struggled and succeeded in putting together a unique self as well as a unique career path.
Now, both eras are over. We are left with Jennifer, Adele and Leo. We wonder how much they might grow their talent and simultaneously self destruct.
