Sure, at New York Magazine, Gabriel Sherman milks his sources to tell us what is going on. But he doesn't provide the ultra-sophisticated analysis which Hive journalists do.
Essentially, the Hive is extending the shelf life of literary journalism. MFA students should apply there for a crack at still doing a fading craft.
