In The Wall Street Journal, Tom Loftus presents what books CEOs are reading. In this era when visual media is a major influencer, what I would rather know is what CEOS are watching.
Specifically, what would be most useful is finding out the documentaries, YouTube videos, and Facebook Live streaming they have considered important. And why.
For example, I wonder if they were moved by the documentary "Dark Horse." That narrates how a group of ordinary people in a village in Wales invested their money and hope in breeding a future racehorse winner. Until that time, such a pursuit was just for the "crusties" or upperclass.
Although he shouldn't have, their horse did turn out to be a winner. What an inspiring lesson for a team at the corporation which is stuck. If CEOs are wise, they are leveraging visual media such as "Dark Horse" to enhance performance at their companies.
That's the kind of article I look forward to reading in The Wall Street Journal in the near future.
