It didn't take long for fallen tech player Ellen Pao to rebrand. Or try to. That was after she lost her gender lawsuit "Pao v. Kleiner Perkins."
The first step in the rebranding process was launching an initiative to help tech companies be more inclusive in hiring. It's called Project Include.
Now, as Daily Mail reports, she is publishing a tell-all about Silicon Valley's toxic and sexist culture. Its title is "Reset." It will focus on Kleiner Perkins and Reddit, both recent former employers. The publisher is Random House imprint Spiegel & Grau.
The details of the publishing agreement, such as what she has been advanced, haven't been made public.
Will this dog hunt, that is, will it sell enough copies for Pao to become financially okay?
Those who hope she is dishing the dirt could buy it. On the other hand, the world might have wearied of this supposed crusader for women's rights. And, if Hillary Clinton is elected U.S. president, the shelf life on feminist issues might be expired. Attention will pass to other matters such as the brutal bias against the aging, including in Silicon Valley.
