Unless he can become as flexible in his persona as Hillary has learned to be. Her acquired talent is to be able to change on a dime in presenting who she is and what she is about.
As the media have been pointing out, Christie hasn't been veering much from his usual blunt and brash style of presentation. Embedded in that has been some apology, but not the kind that makes scandals begin to go away. Here is an analysis in WaPo.
Christie might follow Hillary's example and show that he is willing to change, as a result of adversity. She did that after the failed effort to reform healthcare during her husband's first term. She did it again after losing her presidential bid, developing the ability to re-build a relationship with the guy who did win.
