In tonight's episode of "Breaking Bad," Walter White shocks us. In the desert shoot-out he pleads for Hank's life. The real bad guys, of course, don't listen. He confesses to Jesse that he allowed Jane to die, choking on her own vomit. Instead of running off with his share of the money, he returns home. That was exactly the wrong move with a hysterical Marie making Skyler crazy.
But Walter might still have a shot at being a real bad guy. The last he was seen he was getting into another car, after he left Holly outside the fire station. He could be saving his own skin, the hell with his family. There is every possibility he could launch a new meth operation by teaming up with Jesse.
Yes, a flash forward of the ending shows Walter returing to his empty house. But that doesn't men he didn't wind up a big winner. That is, a real bad guy.
