Most others lacked the genius for pulling this off. Yet, for whatever reasons, iconic figures continue to take the risk that their legacy will be tainted. There was former U.S. Senator Robert Dole with Viagra. Now there is former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani pitching Lifelock, a client of his consulting firm, reports THE NEW YORK POST.
Everything changes. And perhaps Lifelock has changed since the FTC imposed a $12 million fine for not doing what it claimed to do in preventing identity theft. However, even if it did Giuliani has to take into account that hit to the brand. If he escalates his endorsements for Lifelock he risks that the first line in his obituary in THE NEW YORK TIMES will read, "Hero of 9/11, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani spent his twilight years hawking Lifelock on television.
