Are females at THE NEW YORK TIMES jumping for joy now that it's out there that they have a mentor in executive editor Jill Abramson. Or are they apprehensive about being involuntarily molded?
That seems to be irrelvant to Abramson, reports NEW YORK Magazine. She has made it her mission to help females understand what it takes to get ahead. This is something few can learn on their own since each organization has its own culture. Given that journalism is a downsizing sector, that kind of guidance could also be invaluable in just holding onto a job.
