Light years ago, in the Clinton Administration Dick Morris got himself into a pickle. A tabloid caught him being held on a leash, like a dog, by a hooker. Clinton cut him loose.
Most figured that was the end of very bright guy who seemed to have a lot of emotional difficulties. But, no, Morris found a comeback through turning on Clinton as well as liberalism. He became a conservative and it worked. Partnering with his lawyer wife he published books and became a broadcast commentator. Fox was a new home.
Now that's over. It is over for a large number of conservatives. However Morris' second fall is, in some ways, his own. He behaved in a bizarre manner election night in predicting a Mitt Romney landslide and Fox head Roger Ailes, who knows how to make money, knows that doesn't make money, only gossip.
According to POLITICO sources, Morris' contract on Fox has not been renewed. He is, POLITICO reports, to appear on CNN. Does he have a second comeback? Time will tell.
