The trusty red roaster is in the parking lot serviced by an outside vendor, not those maintaining the complex where I live. After an ample breakfast I dressed warmly and headed out to that parking lot to dig out my car. Tomorrow I don't have to be at the client's office until 4 P.M. but I wanted to get all my ducks in a row.
The red roaster was at the far end of the parking lot which had not yet been plowed. That was too far to dig a "road" out, even if wanted to try that. I checked with the powers that be at my complex. They indicated the outside plowing service was scheduled for today but there was no guarantee.
Of course, I am not alone in my angst. I know from traffic patterns others parked in that lot even have to leave earlier than I do. There's also a matter of supplies running low in the few neighborhood stores which were able to open. I walked to the convenience stores and most shelves were empty. The same thing for the micro deli. For milk and food, we would have to roam the area and check what's what.
Nemo has been serious business for those of us who are in business. Also some could be going hungry.
