Zipcar developed the concept of just-in-time car rentals and leveraged technology to make that work. Smart, it introduced the concept in university towns where there would be more receptivity to the innovation.
Now Zipcar is being acquired by Avis for $12.25 a share, reports BUSINESS INSIDER.
