A state known for its quiet living, Connecticut has become the national focus of tragedies set there.
That began in the home of Dr. Petit in an upscale neighborhood. His wife and two teenage daughters were murdered by two thugs. Both have been sentenced to death. Last Christmas, three young girls and their grandparents died in a house fire in upscale Stamford. Their mother Madonna Badger has moved out of state to struggle with her grief.
Today, there has been a shooting in the elementary school in Sandy Hook. Details are not all in. The rumor is that there have been deaths, including of children, whose minds were likely on the excitement of gifts and time off during the holidays.
One's heart goes out to all the parents who have lost children, especially at this time of year.

Now comes the battle over gun control. Personally, I don't like guns but that being said I don't think banning guns will solve any problems. People who want to get them WILL! THEY will always figure out a way. I personally think Mental Health programs should be initiated not closed down. Many citizens are in need of these services! They could be lifesaving.

We were pulling into driveway from Christmas shopping when news of tragedy came over radio. Our collective stomachs dropped then came the tears. Babies murdered - their teachers murdered their principal murdered! WHY? God bless and keep them in His loving arms. God help the grieving parents! God help the sutvivors cope. This will NEVER be forgotten! Nor should it be.
