Pay cash and gas is @$4.07 a gallon in North Haven, Connecticut. Admittedly that station is pretty near a highway so the price per gallon is a bit more. But the lowest price I found was in Hamden, Connecticut @$3.99 cash.
So, no surprise neighborhoods are making a comeback. At the public library all those print weeklies with listings of local activities are getting scooped up fast. Neighbors we used to jump in the car to get away from are looking pretty good, that is, as long as they don't ask us for a ride. I live in as senior citizen complex and hustling rides goes with the territory.
It's now obvious common sense that going outside the neighborhood for what were once considered bargains probably aren't. Neighborhood stores are bound to profit from the high gas prices.

I thoroughly enjoy your blog posts and I consciously put into practice your concepts as they allow us to..
