Now we know. Kalinda and Peter did sleep together. It was a one-time thing. However, that one-time event could deep-six Peter's campaign and his marriage to Alicia.
The coming attractions show that information about a second woman in Peter's past is leaking out. As yet, at least according to the previews, the name of that woman isn't known.
We know it is Kalinda, although Alicia doesn't know that yet. How much comes out depends on a lawyer in Childs's office who is fighting to have a job. Since Childs isn't running for re-election most of his staff will be toast. This guy knows all about the one-time event. That's because he had interviewed Blake. He and Peter have an agreement that he will keep that under wraps if Peter will take care of him if he wins the election against Wendy.
Since the election hasn't taken place, we don't know the reason why any information will start seeping out unless Blake allowed it to. Blake is a nasty creature. He could be sprinkling the lives of Kalinda and all those around her with anything and everything that's toxic.
As the heat was building, Kalinda asked Alicia if she's happy. Alicia's answer is philosophical. She says that after a storm one doesn't feel happiness as much as relief. That says plenty: I am not wildly in love with my husband. So, if Peter is shown to have had another woman in his life, Alicia might not stand by him this time. The betrayal, especially since it involves friend Kalinda, and the second wave of public humiliation might just be the tipping point for Alicia to leave Peter.
Meanwhile Gold, who is Peter's handler, has developed a crush on a young illegal alien with a brain and heart. Could something come of it? She does have a boyfriend. However, she sees that Gold has gone the distance for her. Now, that can sway a woman, even one considerably younger than the man chasing her.
The legal parts of the episode are uninteresting. They seem just backdrop for the real action and that's in the relationships between the God's Plenty in "The Good Wife."
