Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg has been reading the public and media wrong. Just consider his nomination of Cathie Black to head New York schools. Now, a Quinnipiac poll confirms that the mayor may be out of touch.
The poll found, reports Meredith Shiner on POLITICO, that only 55 percent of New Yorkers approve the job Bloomberg is doing. In addition, 62 percent of them who have children in public schools didn't approve of Back's appointment.
The mayor will have to rethink much of what he does - or become irrelevant, despite his considerable wealth.
