In a high-risk move, GOP Connecticut U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon observed at a press conference that the nation should take a look at the federal minimum wage. In Connecticut it's now at $8.25. She didn't say it should be lowered. But too many are interpreting her remarks as somehow endorsing reducing it.
Of course, she got plenty of attention, including on broadcast media. It made the evening news here in Connecticut. Business in the state like this. But unions and her opponent Democrat Richard Blumenthal don't. My hunch is that Blumenthal is making a television commercial about this.
