The Hillary Clinton captured in GAME CHANGE by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin seems a lot like most of us: A big mess of a personality.
When the campaign seems over for her, just like we tend to do she withdraws into herself.
Her unusual relationship with Wild Bill mirrors so much of our own nutty co-dependent ones. How many of those have we had and still stumble into, only we get out of faster. I climbed out of a disaster of co-dependency after a horrendous six months.
She can misread situations, just like myopic us do. Despite her high intelligence and political savvy, she is not infallible.
And she can be ruthless, like most of us really are but won't own up to. Incidentally, GAME CHANGE brought ruthlessness out of the closet. We should take out a page in THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, declaring that, yes yes yes, we have been ruthless, are ruthless on some business matters now, and fully intend to be ruthless in the future. What's wrong with ruthlessness anyway?

When all is said and done, she will still go down in history as one of the best and brightest in America.
