Obama Administration, Sotomayor Nomination, Progressive Movement - All Toast

In this era of just-in-time media coverage, digital, print, audio, visual and on-your-feet, developments can have immediate and far-reaching impacts. 

Today's 5-4 decision by the United States Supreme Court in favor of the employee rights of the majority probably has made the Obama Administration, Sonia Soytomayor's nomination, and the progressiveness movement toast.  Both conservatives and liberals I contacted expected this ruling, one in favor of common sense.  Hard-working firefighters should have their fair shot at promotion.

Question: Will the spirit of this ruling resonate throughout the nation?  Will the California Supreme Court which is reviewing the use of contingency in cases filed by government entities notice that the values of our nation have moved more toward the  middle?  Radical doesn't live here anymore.  Here is the appeals court decision allowing the use of contingency in public nuisance cases Download H031540.  No, we don't want any extraordinary measures to re-engineer our society.  We want to move the economy forward and bag extremism.
