Tiny Twitter Packs Digital Punch

Is microblog Twitter the platform for our hurried time?  Maybe.  According to influential trade pub AD AGE, it was three folks with substantial Twitter followings who brought mighty Johnson & Johnson to its knees, begging for forgiveness for its Motrin ads.

Those J&J ads, in print and online, positioned babies as a mom's fashion accessory.  The blogosphere didn't like it and threw out their thunderbolts via Twitter.   J&J got the message.  It pulled the ads, then did a mea culpa.

Does this mean traditional blogging is dead?  No, of course not.  What it does mean is that those who master the compressed style of the microblog can gain even more power than conventional bloggers.

I tweet at Http://twitter.com/gggggg1. My other two regular blogs are here and here.
