Uncle Ted - Diagnosis of Seizure

The official diagnosis for Senator Ted Kennedy is: Seizure.  In this case, they do not view this as life-threatening.  And Kennedy can bounce back.  There are many many causes of seizures, and the medical experts don't know all of them.  However, Friends of Bill - i.e. members of those anonymous 12-step programs - might be speculating if this particular seizure could have been triggered by not enough alcohol in the bloodstream.  Those who drink regularly could encounter this kind of withdrawal syndrome when there isn't adequate alcohol in their system.

This is only speculation.  I have been a card-carrying member of a number of 12-step programs.  Seizures are routine, including their happening at actually meetings.  The victim drops by a 12-step program hoping for immediate help.  Instead the person goes into a seizure, is cared for onsite by paramedics, taken to the  hospital, then gently advised about the possible cause and cure [complete elimination of ingestion of that substance] for this medical condition.
