Uncle Ted - Camelot Has Come to This

All media outlets are reporting who's by Ted Kennedy's bedside as he recovers from a seizure and undergoes tests about what could have caused it.  When Camelot was hot, either in actuality or in the collective consciousness of America, these details would have been very important to every one of us.  Kennedys were our version of royal family.  Now those details seem odd.

The old liberal lion is in the hospital.  Okay.  The real story is how much power and influence he can still squeeze our of being the old-guard in the Senate.  Competitors and enemies wonder if he will make it through this term of office.  If so, will he run again?  If he exits the national political stage, does the political arena become freed-up for his son Patrick Kennedy to soar outside the shadow of his father?  Patrick has already shown he's his own man in bucking dad about mental-health parity.

Hunch:  This story is playing out in the media the way it is because the media haven't made up their minds what to do about The Kennedys.
