"CSI: Miami" - Too Heavy on Melodrama, Lite on Suspense

Tonight's episode of "CSI: Miami" was disappointing.  It had been promoted as a real heart-grabber.  Callie might have left the CSI unit.  But it didn't pan out that way.

Because of the "cheat note" that Eric had made for himself as he recovered from his brain injury, both Callie and him were pulled off a double-homicide investigation.  That's about the extent of the pulls on our heartstrings.  The two murders got solved any way thanks to the careful CSI work of H. Callie and Eric returned to active duty.

Just as disappointing was the non-suspense about who the killer was.  In addition, that killer et al. were lousy actors.

It was one of those rare moments when a guest star upstaged the lead. David Caruso had no game on Tom Sizemore. Sizemores performance was great.
