Sad Day in the Gore Household

It's tempting to play Freud and posit that Al Gore's son Al Gore III is having "issues" because of his brush with death when a child.  Also, what about being part of a famous family, especially with such a high-achieving sister?   Mainstream news and cyberspace are filled with reports of how the younger Gore, who is 24, was arrested today for speeding and suspected drug possession.

The Gores have been through the wringer.  Can we leave them alone on this one?  I ask the media, which have been hostile to Gore recently, to give the family a free pass on the latest problem.
