In the May/June issue of PSYCHOLOGY TODAY, I found out there's a term for what differentiates bloggers from bloggers (e.g. Paul Chaney, Robert Scoble, Walter Olson). The term is "hypergraphia." It denotes, as Orli Van Mourik points out in the article "A River of Words," a compulsion to write and keep writing. But it can afflict non-bloggers. Edgar Allan Poe and Sylvia Plath were suspected victims.
