Barack Obama's Speeches - Hybrid JFK, Martin Luther King
A double chill comes down the spin of us baby boomers when we hear Barack Obama speak. His speeches fuse the best of the style and content of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King. Odd that Obama is positioning himself as the leader for the post-baby boomer generations. We're the ones who melt.
The JFK part is the promise of something new. With his youth, grace and Harvard education, JFK told his fellow Americans that something new could and would happen. Some call that the New Frontier. Some call it Camelot. Whatever. The tone and content got him elected, against tough obstacles. Obama exudes that same youthfulness, grace including under pressure, and a Harvard Law School education.
The Martin Luther King part is the paradigm-shifting ways that the oppressed should see the world. In his Selma speech, Obama raised the issue of "acting white." He framed it as the illusion that the ability to use proper grammar might lead the underclass to assume they had made progress. Obama tells them to look again at that just like King told the world that someday in America no one would be categorized by the color of their skin.
Given the power of his speeches, Obama is no one another supposed underdog - born-female Hillary - would choose to run against. Hillary, it's reported, has had plenty of presentation coaching and it's the hybrid of the screen and the whine which still comes out of her.
My hunch is that a winning ticket could be Edwards-Obama. Youth could steal the hearts of Americans from the badly aging Republicans. Think Rudy.

I thing Edwards/Obama would be tremendous for our country. We need to get the republicans out of the White House and try them for treason. No matter Hillary is not the person to be our next president. She is not connected with the people. Using her ignorant speeches of oppression in the south was just about as dumb as she could get. We haven't gotten as far as we should have on some social issues. A female president if it should be Hillary is not the answer by any means. She is a farce and comical at that. i am a strong advocate for women and children but Hillary would be the last person I would solicit to for aiding any cause let alone one for women and children. Her husband took the integrety and respect women deserve back at least 100 years when she stood by her jackass of a husband in the controversies of his administration that concerned how he treated women in his real life. Remember. a person's personal life is a mirror of their their true self. How dare she try to approach women's rights. She is a pig. Edwards and Obama could be an evolutionizing team for our great nation. They are the only two people I would vote for in all of the ones running and it is because of their experiences and drive to do the right thing.

Does Sen. Clinton have a speechwriter or does she write her own?
